WENHAM, Mass. – The Bates College men’s basketball team scored the first eight points in overtime and went on to defeat Gordon College, 82-74, in a non-league contest Tuesday night.

Zak Ray paced the Bobcats (18-4) with 23 points, while Rob Stockwell tallied 19 and Damon McGinn added 13. Bates trailed by four at the half, before a 13-5 run in overtime sealed the victory.

Jon Marstaller and Jerry Logan paced the Fighting Scots (15-6) with 19 points apiece, while Michael Herr added 17.

Marstaller tied the game at 69-69 with five seconds remaining in regulation.
