Church workshop

WILTON – A four-church workshop will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 10, at the United Methodist Church. In addition to the Wilton church, members from the Methodist churches in Livermore Falls, Livermore and North Jay are invited.

Plans for a March four-church gathering to include a luau will be among the agenda items. The four churches meet monthly to plan projects or share resources. Anyone from any of the four churches is welcome.

Valentine dance

WILTON – Friendship Squares will host a Valentine dance from 7 to 10 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 10, at Cushing School. Skip and Betty Ann Brown serve as a caller and cuer duo. All are welcome.

Dems to meet

FARMINGTON – Franklin County Democrats will hold their monthly meeting on Sunday, Feb. 18, in North Dining Hall C, Olsen Student Center, University of Maine at Farmington. An Executive Committee meeting will be held at 4 p.m. followed by the general meeting at 4:30.

Salem concert

SALEM – A&E Hill Country Music will return to the Salem Community Building for a concert at 1 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 18, weather permitting, for a blend of old-time country/bluegrass music. A donation box will be at the door and refreshments will be on sale. The concert is sponsored by the Salem Pine Tree Club.

Chinese auction

KINGFIELD – A Chinese auction will be held Saturday, March 10, at Webster Hall, School Street, next to the Stanley Museum. Storm date will be Sunday, March 11.

Doors will open at noon for viewing and purchasing tickets. The drawing will be at 2 p.m. Free refreshments will be provided. Proceeds will benefit the American Cancer Society.
