We need to end the violence in Baghdad by disarming the sects, drive out the insurgents and allow the Iraqi people to take control. If we do not, we will see carnage and suffering like we’ve never seen.

Look at Iran. Over 70 percent of that county’s population are considered youth. In 1979, President Jimmy Carter and the Democrats in power – with the support of the liberal news media – decided against intervening and let Iran fall to Islamic extremists. This put Iran in the dangerous position that exists today.

Thousands of Iranians were murdered because they supported the Shah and the United States. We cannot allow this to happen in Iraq. Every one will suffer at the hands of Islamic extremists, whose lives are steeped in 2000-year-old ideas, beliefs, and superstitions; and have modern weapons at their disposal.

We are going to have to deal with the Islamic extremism and terrorism problem now or later. There are no political solutions to stop Islamic extremism because they have but one goal: to put the entire world under Islamic control. Murder and violence is their method of conversion. They continually tell us this, but we are not listening.

It’s going to be hard and costly, but we must win, because our freedom and the freedom of the world are at stake. We must stand up and support our president, and win this war in Iraq and the war on terror.
