BUCKFIELD – Waynflete School remained unbeaten Friday with a 54-46 girls’ basketball win over Buckfield in their regular-season finale.
Though Buckfield had a one-point lead at the half, the Flyers (18-0) outscored the Bucks (12-4) 11-8 in the third and 20-14 in the fourth.
Margaret Veroneau led the Flyers with 16 while Annie Cutler added 13. The Bucks were led by Alyssa Henderson with 13 and Kasey Farrington with nine.
In the boys’ game, Jamie Henderson, John Condon and Cy Wilkinson each scored 10 points to lead Buckfield to a 51-46 win over Waynflete.
Henderson also had seven rebounds and five assists.
The Bucks end the regular season at 9-7. Waynflete dropped to 13-5.
Lucas O’Neil led the Flyers with 12 points.
