PORTLAND – The wedding of Jaime Lee Turgeon and Nicholas Joseph Berube was held at 2:30 p.m. on Aug. 5 at Stroudwater Christian Church in Portland. The Rev. Dr. Bill Chadwick from Stroudwater officiated at the ceremony.

Mrs. Berube is the daughter of Bob and Ann Turgeon of Minot. Mr. Berube is the son of Tad and Cynthia Berube of Auburn.

The bride was escorted to the altar by her father. She wore a white strapless satin gown with sheer overlay which had floral embellished crystals. A crystal tiara supported her veil, and she carried a bouquet of fuchsia Gerber daisies and blue delphiniums.

The bride’s sister, Nikki Turgeon, was maid of honor, and bridesmaids were Elaine Breton-Thibodeau, aunt of the bride, and Abby Thompson, Tracey Carrier and Isabel Kannegieser, all friends of the couple. Molly Raymo was the flower girl.

The bridegroom’s father, Tad Berube, was best man, and ushers were Danny Berube, brother of the bridegroom, Elijah Breton, cousin of the bride, and Mike Cash and Kevin Mitchell, friends of the couple. Colby Leavitt was the ring bearer.

A reception followed at the Mariner’s Church Banquet Center in the Old Port, after which the couple traveled to the Pocono’s for their honeymoon. They are residing in Lewiston.

The bride is a 2003 graduate of Poland Regional High School and a 2005 graduate of Central Maine Community College with a degree in early childhood education. She is teaching at the East Auburn Community School.

The bridegroom is a 2003 graduate of Poland Regional High School and is pursuing an education at the University of Southern Maine, where he is studying electrical engineering. He is employed at D.C. Electric in Turner.
