STRATFORD, Conn. – The wedding of Karen Lynn Dolyak and Kevin Patrick Collins was held at 11 a.m. on Oct. 7 at St. Mary Roman Catholic Church in Stratford, Conn. The Rev. Gregg Mecca and Deacon Andrew Dzujna officiated at the ceremony.

Mrs. Collins is the daughter of Raymond and Kathleen Dolyak of Stratford Conn. Mr. Collins is the son of Richard and Jane Collins of Lewiston.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a white satin halter gown, embellished with hand beading and Cathedral train. She carried a bouquet of white roses.

Annie Collins, sister of the bridegroom, served as maid of honor, and bridesmaids were Erinn Michaud, Olivia Michaud and Emily Michaud, cousins of the bridegroom. Ellie Rae Marden, cousin of the bridegroom, was flower girl.

David R Dolyak, brother of the bride, was best man, and usher was Jason Janosko, friend of the couple. Blake Marden, cousin of the bridegroom, was ring bearer.

A reception followed at Brownson Country Club in Huntington, Conn., after which the couple traveled to the Pocono Mountains in Pennsylvania. A Caribbean cruise is planned in the future. They are residing in Bridgeport, Conn.

The bride is a graduate of St. Joseph High School in Trumbull, Conn., and received a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, Conn. She is a pre-kindergarten teacher at St. Augustine Cathedral School in Bridgeport, Conn.

The bridegroom is a graduate of Lewiston High School and received a bachelor’s degree in health education and sports science from Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, Conn. He is health and wellness director at the Bridgeport YMCA.
