LEWISTON – The Lewiston Recreation and Parks Department indoor instructional T-ball will begin Saturday, March 3, and continue through April 21. The seven-week program is for children ages 4 to 7, and classes will be held at the Multi-Purpose Center, 145 Birch St.

Participants will learn the basic knowledge of the game, as well as participate in drills to learn catching, fielding, throwing and running bases, and the concept of teamwork will be encouraged. Actual games will not be played, and cleats are not required.

Session one for ages 4 and 5 will be held from 2 to 2:45 p.m. and session two for ages 6 and 7 will be held from 3 to 3:45 p.m. No classes will be held on March 31. The registration fee, which includes a T-shirt, is $35 for Lewiston residents; $45, nonresidents.

Registration may be made at the Rec Department, 65 Central Ave., between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday prior to Saturday, March 3. Additional inquiries may be referred to 782-5951; TTY/TDD: 784-5999.
