WILTON – The Wilton Girls Fifth-Sixth-Grade Team and the Farmington boys earned titles in the recent Wilton Recreation Department’s annual Basketball Tournament held at Academy Hill Gym.

In an overtime thriller, Wilton edged North Franklin 31-27 in the title game. Amy Hilton led the champs with 16 points. Mikayla Luce and Miranda Smith netted 8 each for North Franklin.

In earlier action, North Franklin defeated Farmington 42-22 as Smith and Alex Harnden each scored 11. Mackenzie Thompson led Farmington with 9.

Wilton outlasted Turner 32-25 as Hilton tallied 10 with Gabby Foy and Meg Hall adding 8 each. Turner was led by Mariah Tredwell with 9.

In the consolation game, Turner beat Farmington 31-18 as Tredwell popped in 14 and Jena Cote 7. Jasmine Chick and Mali Obomsawin each scored 4 for Farmington.

The all-star team included Luce, Tredwell, Thompson, Hilton and Hall. The 3-point champs were Tory Beane and Luce.

Boys Division

Farmington rallied from an 8-point halftime deficit to edge Lewiston 32-30 in the boys championship contest. Zak Kendal led the champs with 12. Ryan Flanagan added 7. Donnie Agossou (10) and Josh Thomas (5) led Lewiston.

In earlier action, Lewiston trimmed Wilton 60-22 as Thomas tallied 14 and Ryan Rossignol 13. Wilton was paced by Bradley Jackson with 8 and Jamie Schanck with 5.

Farmington beat Turner 43-23 as Chad Luker collected 10 and Jordan Whitney 8. Levi Morin scored 10 for Turner.

In the consolation tilt, Turner nipped Wilton 39-37 as Kyle Hewitt netted 15. Wilton was again led by Jackson and Schanck with 12 and 8, respectively.

The all-star team included Bradley Jackson, Kyle Hewitt, Josh Thomas, Chad Luker and Zak Kendal.

Josh Thomas and Ryan Rossignol captured the 3-point contest.
