MONMOUTH – Registration for Monmouth T-Ball, Rookie Baseball, Rookie Softball, Minor Baseball, Minor Softball, Major Baseball and Major Softball will be held at Monmouth Academy gym on the following dates: Saturday, March 17, 9-11 a.m.; Thursday, March 22, 5:30-7:30 p.m.
Eligible are Monmouth residents between the ages of 4-12.
Registration fee is $30 for T-Ball, and $45 per child for baseball-softball, or a maximum of $90 per family. A late fee of $10 will be required after March 24.
More information is available by calling 933-2222. Also needed is someone to mow the fields.
Horseshoes planned
PHILLIPS – An outdoor doubles horseshoes tournament is planned for Saturday, March 17 at 11 a.m. at the Phillips Horseshoe Pits in North Franklin Park. Entry fee is $5 per player. Trophies will be awarded to the top two teams. Refreshments will be available.Proceeds will benefit Lance Corporal Scott Paul Park of Strong.More information can be obtained by calling Kirby Ross at 639-3264 or 684-3113.
