MECHANIC FALLS – The Mechanic Falls Public Library will hold a benefit magic show at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 17, at Elm Street School. The Amazing Lou – Lou Ward, a professional magician from Harpswell – has donated his services for this fundraiser for the library.

His is one of the few magic acts in New England using doves, and kids will have a special place near the stage.

Doors will open at 11:30 a.m. for a lunch of pizza, hotdogs, snacks and drinks. There will be a silent sweets auction of homemade goods after the show. Donations of baked goods welcome. If you would like to donate, drop off your sweets at the Elm Street School Gym beginning at 10 a.m. Saturday morning.

Tickets are $5 for adults, $2 for children under 12, with family passes for $12. Tickets are available at the Town Office, Elm Street School, Future Foods, and at the door.
