LONDON (AP) – Prince Charles’ wife Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, is to become a grandmother later this year, a British newspaper reported Sunday.
Sara Buys, who is married to Camilla’s son Tom Parker Bowles, is expecting the couple’s first child in September, the Mail on Sunday said.
“We have told our friends and family, and they are delighted,” Parker Bowles, 32, was quoted by the newspaper as saying. “Mummy is absolutely over the moon at the prospect of becoming a grandmother.”
“It’s the best news ever, and we are thrilled,” Buys, 34, was quoted as saying.
Cibrians expecting second child
LOS ANGELES (AP) – Eddie Cibrian, who starred on television’s “Third Watch” and “Invasion,” and his wife, Brandi, are expecting a second child next month, publicist Lauren Kucerak said Friday.
The couple, who live in Los Angeles, were married in May 2001. They have a 3-year-old son, Mason.
Cibrian, 33, is best known as New York firefighter Jimmy Doherty on NBC’s “Third Watch,” which ran from 1999-2005. He also starred on ABC’s “Invasion,” portraying park ranger Russell Varon, and the 1998 TV movie “Logan’s War: Bound by Honor.”
Blanchett eyeing ‘Indiana Jones’ deal
LOS ANGELES (AP) – Cate Blanchett is in negotiations to star opposite Harrison Ford in the long-awaited fourth installment of the “Indiana Jones” series, her publicist confirmed Saturday.
“She is in negotiations, yes,” publicist Lisa Kasteler told The Associated Press. She did not elaborate.
Filming is scheduled to begin later this year, with Steven Spielberg on board to direct.
The movie is being produced by “Star Wars” creator George Lucas’ Lucasfilm Ltd.
Ford played Indiana Jones in 1981’s “Raiders of the Lost Ark,” 1984’s “Temple of Doom” and 1989’s “The Last Crusade.”
Blanchett, who won a best supporting actress Oscar in 2004 for “The Aviator,” starred in last year’s “Notes on a Scandal” and “Babel.”
