NORWAY – The Western Maine Adult Coed Softball League will be conducting an organizational meeting on Sunday, April 1 at 6 p.m. at the Norway Town Office.

League Spokeman Dave Millett said the first 10 teams who register will be accepted for play. The Fairgrounds won’t be available this season for games so most of the contests will be played at Buckfield, Millett noted.

Lewiston league

to meet April 11

LEWISTON – The Lewiston Rec Softball League (men and coed) will hold another meeting on Wednesday, April 11 at 7 p.m. at Lewiston Armory. Final payment is due at that session.

According to Tony Gowell, league spokesman, plans are under way to combine the top men’s teams from the Lewiston Rec League and the Auburn Rec League into a Twin City League. There are some obstacles, he noted. More information can be obtained by calling Gowell at 375-6592.

AUBURN – An organizational meeting of the Auburn Rec Players Softball League is scheduled tonight at 6:30 at Hasty Community Center. Managers or team representatives are asked to be in attendance.

Greene girls team

is seeking players

GREENE – Greene girls softball is seeking additional players. Usually, Greene fields two teams in the 12-under division of the A-K Girls Softball League, the Gators and the Eagles. However, as of March 24 there were only enough registrations for one team. So Greene is extending its registration for girls ages 8-12. BRUNSWICK – The Brunswick Women’s Softball League is looking to recruit new players, teams and coaches. Eligible are players ages 16 and older.

New entries require a minimum of 10 players, a sponsor fee and numbered shirts. An organizational meeting will be held in April.
