WALES – Brittiny-Rae Gagnon of Sabattus, a senior at Oak Hill High School, has been selected to receive the 2007 Principal’s Award, Principal Patricia Doyle has announced. The award is sponsored by the Maine Principal’s Association and is given in recognition of a high school senior’s academic achievement and citizenship.

“Brittiney-Rae has been an outstanding student who is a member of the National Honor Society, president of her class, Oak Hill High School Legislative Assembly president, Maine State FBLA president, KVAC All-Conference Tennis Team, has also attended Girls State, has received the DAR Good Citizenship Award and is an active member of the music program. She very much deserves this recognition,” said Doyle.

Gagnon, Doyle and other award winners and their principals will attend an honors luncheon at the Bangor Civic Center on Saturday, April 7.

The luncheon recognizes the students with the presentation of an individual plaque and the awarding of five $1,000 scholarships in the names of Horace O. McGowan and Richard W. Tyler.
