RUMFORD – The Planning Board approved a change in property lines for four interior lots in the Scotty Brook at Black Mountain project on Wednesday night.
Bob Berry, an engineer with Main Land Development Consultants in Livermore Falls, said the property line relocation was necessary to avoid wetlands and was mandated by the state’s Department of Environmental Protection.
He said the property line change clears the way for the environmental agency to approve the entire project. The project was approved by the local Planning Board a couple of months ago.
Planned by Lem Cissel, a businessman who divides his time between here and Maryland, is a 308-lot subdivision a short distance from Black Mountain. Housing plans range from multi-units to single-family homes on lots ranging from less than an acre to several acres.
