LEWISTON – The annual Andy Valley Softball Umpires’ Association’s Benefit Softball Tournament is scheduled for June 8-10 (rain dates June 15-17).
It’ll be a two-bracket ASA Slow Pitch tourney, one group (upper bracket) governed by Class C rules, and the lower bracket with Class D rules applying.
Entry fee is $190. Money orders can be made out to Andy Valley Umpires and sent to Tony Gowell, P.O. Box 520, Sabattus, Me. 04280, or Tim Lare, 225 Seventh St., Auburn, Me. 04210.
ASA roster and payment questions can be directed to Gowell at 375-6540, or Lare at 783-2987.
Proceeds from the tourney are earmarked for local scholarships.
