DERRY, N.H. – A summer tour to Scotland and Ireland for high school golfers is being offered by Bentley College Golf Coach Don Moorhead and Les Johnson, who coaches at Vermont’s Essex Junction High School. John Mitchell of Pinkerton Academy is coordinating the tour which will run from July 18-26.

Tour golfers will play at some of Scotland’s and Ireland’s most famous and challenging courses and the special highlight of the trip will be admission to the final two days of the British Open Golf Tournament. In addition to the golfing activities, the tour wil also provide an educational and cultural experience.

Baseball event slated

Coast to Coast Athletics is organizing teams of baseball players (ages 11-12, 13-15, 16-18) to represent the USA in international competition in the following destinations: Japan, Australia, Puerto Rico, Hawaii.

Outstanding amateurs, selected from as many as 46 states nationwide, will compete against international all-star teams in 2007.

Coast to Coast programs last 7-14 days. They consist of game action, intensive training and cultural excursions. Teams are managed by a staff of top college coaches and pro scouts.
