NORWAY – The wedding of Virginia B. Fortier and Durwood C. Wilson was held at 2 p.m. on Dec. 31 at the Norway Legion Hall. Tara Jean Davis officiated at the ceremony.

Mrs. Wilson is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Johnson of Oxford. Mr. Wilson is the son of Burna Wilson of Woodstock and the late Delwin Wilson.

The bride was given in marriage by her parents and children. She wore an ivory floor-length gown with buttons and sequins down the front and a long train.

Sally Annance was matron of honor for her friend, and bridesmaids were Jessica Lord, Jamie Johnson and Katrina Fortier, daughters of the bride. Michele and Nichole Wilson, daughters of the bridegroom, were flower girls.

Leroy Wilson performed the duties of best man for his brother, and Cody Fortier, son of the bride, was ring bearer.

A reception followed at the Norway Legion Hall, after which the couple went to the Mohegan Sun Resort in Uncasville, Conn.

The bride is a high school graduate and is attending college. She is a substitute teacher at Head Start.

The bridegroom attended high school and received his GED while serving with the U.S. Army. He is employed at Vicwood Express in Oxford.
