LISBON FALLS – A new slate of officers for Pioneer Chapter 11, Order of the Eastern Star, was installed on March 22 at the Ancient York Masonic Hall, Route 196, with 57 members and guest.
Jennifer Hogan and her father, Toby Williams, were installed were installed worthy matron and worthy patron. Others installed were associate matron, Josephine Dupal; associate patron, Samuel Kelly; secretary, Stephanie Dupal; treasurer, Sally Wentworth; conductress, Gail Morgan; associate conductress, Loretta Ward; chaplain, Debra Greim; marshal, Dorothy Kenopensky; organist, Beulah Dunton; Adah, Lynette Mitchell; Ruth, Esther Jean; Esther, Margaret Schultz; Martha, Joanne Morgan; Electa, Debra Williams; and sentinel, Jeremy Williams.
The installing team included: Betty Perkins, installing matron; Newell Farrington, installing patron; Edward Webber, installing chaplain; Kathy Williamson, installing marshal; and Eleanor Peterson, installing organist.
Distinguished guest present were Worthy Grand Patron Newell Farrington, Past Grand Matrons Bertha Cadigan and Beth Turner, Associate Grand Matron Rebecca Bibber, Grand Treasurer C. Kelly Landry, Grand Martha Flora Stack and District Deputy Grand Matron of District 4 Ellen Broas.
The following grand representatives brought greetings from their respective jurisdictions: Lillian Hart of Delaware, Jacqueline Woods of Pennsylvania, Eleanor Peterson of Australia, Edward Webber of Ohio and Josephine Dupal of Minnesota.
Bibber announced that Pioneer Chapter would have two grand chapter appointments next year. Josephine Dupal will be installed as Grand Martha and Stephanie Dupal will be appointed deputy grand matron of District 4 at the grand chapter session in Augusta on May 16.
Other grand appointments for next year’s grand family in attendance were Julie Irving as grand chaplain and Delora Farrington as grand electa.
