AUBURN – It appears Maine golf courses are slowly but surely drying out and some are already open for the season.

Charlene Dion collected the area’s first hole-in-one Sunday at Fox Ridge Golf Club in Auburn. She aced the #5 hole, 89-yards, using a 9-iron. Witnessing the feat were Bob Dion, Steve and Nina Bartlett.

A number of different memberships are available. There are also spring specials. More information on the Rockland course can be obtained by calling 594-9322.
