FARMINGTON – The Farmington Recreation Department is accepting registrations for the youth softball season. Eligible are youngsters in Grades 4-7. Players must turn the minimum age of 9 before Jan. 1, 2007.
Six Farmington teams competed in the Franklin County Girls Softball League last year. Other league entries were three teams from Wilton and one from Kingfield. Home games for Farmington teams are played on Monday and Wednesday at 6 p.m. at Mt. Blue High School, the University of Maine at Farmington, and Hippach Field. The regular season is set to begin on Monday, May 7.
Registration fee is $10. An additional $20 fee is asked for the payment of umpires.
