BOOTHBAY HARBOR – Vicki Rice belted a three-run double to highlight a 10-run third inning as Telstar cruised to an 18-0 victory over Boothbay in MVC softball action.

Candace Hall (3-0) had three hits and three RBIs at the plate and spun a five-inning no-hitter from the mound with 12 strikeouts. Whitney Mills added a two-run single among her three hits for the Rebels (3-0).

Bess Walsh suffered the loss for the Seahawks (0-2).

Jay 12, Lisbon 5

LISBON – Kaylie Demillo had a pair of hits and RBIs to lead Jay to a 12-5 victory over Lisbon in MVC softball action Friday.

The Greyhounds (1-1) rallied for three runs in the fourth inning to knot up the contest at 4-4, but the Tigers (2-1) responded for eight runs in the seventh to cement the outcome.

Desire Castonguay had a pair of hits, including a triple and two RBIs for Jay, while Siobhan Riordan notched the only extra base hit of the game for Lisbon, a double.

Girls’ lacrosse

Lewiston 9, Oxf. Hills 7

SOUTH PARIS – Kristen D’Eramo notched four goals to lead Lewiston to a 9-7 victory over Oxford Hills in KVAC girls’ lacrosse action Friday.

The Blue Devils (2-1) also received fine offensive output from Kelsey Rodrigue, who posted a hat trick.

Junior attack wing Hannah Strauss paced the Vikings (0-1) with a pair of goals in the loss.

Goalie Jana Laverdiere made 13 saves for Lewiston, while Ebony Mills garnered 10 stops for Oxford Hills.

Lincoln 11, Mountain Valley 8

RUMFORD – Carly Williams scored seven goals to help Lincoln hold off a furious Mountain Valley comeback for an 11-8 triumph.

Lincoln (1-1) jumped out to an 8-1 win by halftime, before the Falcons roared back. Brittne Coulombe, Caitlin O’Connell scored two goals apiece for Mountain Valley, while Kerri Patnaude, Tanya LaCroix, Stephanie Dragoon and Amber Billings also scored.

Taylor Swett stopped 10 shots for the Falcons, while Lincoln goalie Emily Morse made 14 saves.

Baseball

Winthrop 12, Mt. Abram 2

WINTHROP – Sophomore pitcher Jake Steele had an outstanding day, plating four runs while going 2-for-3 and earning the mound win, as Winthrop bolted to a five-inning mercy rule 12-2 victory over Mt. Abram.

Shortstop Dave Ricker also went 2-for-3 for the Ramblers (3-0), while stealing three bases and collecing an RBI.

Left fielder Pat Anthony had a pair of hits and an RBI for the Roadrunners (1-2).
