Jeffrey Jordan, the son of Michael Jordan, plans to attend Illinois next year and play basketball as a walk-on. It’s not an unfamiliar position for the Jordan clan. His father was a walk-on in every game he ever played. The refs just never called it.

Colorado shortstop Troy Tulowitzki had an unassisted triple play in the seventh inning of the Rockies’ game against the Atlanta Braves on Sunday. It was the 13th unassisted triple play in major league history, and the first since Jose Canseco injected himself in the rear, groin and shoulder in the same setting in 1995.

Disgruntled fans showered Aaron’s 499 winner Jeff Gordon with beer cans as he rounded the Talladega Superspeedway oval during the final lap of Sunday’s race. Don Imus couldn’t write this stuff.
