GARDINER – Carolyn Bochtler blasted a two-run home run with two outs in the seventh inning to lift Leavitt to a 6-4 victory over Gardiner in a softball matchup on Tuesday.

Amy Chiasson added an RBI double for the Hornets (2-1), while Megan Miller and Heidi Swett each had two hits. Brittany Gurney recorded the win.

Madison 5, Mt. Abram 4

MADISON – Ashley Marandola had a solid performance, striking out seven batters and added an RBI double to give Madison a 5-4 victory over Mt. Abram.

Jillian Withee had two RBI singles for Mt. Abram (2-2).

Oxford Hills 10, Lewiston 4

OXFORD HILLS – Jenn Jurczak gave up one hit and fanned 13 batters as Oxford Hills posted a 10-4 triumph over Lewiston in KVAC softball Tuesday.

Megan Gauger and Tia Pratt each hit solo homers for the Vikings (3-1). Diane Ramsey had a two-run double.

Jurczak had a no-hitter going into the seventh before the Blue Devils’ Patricia Defosse singled. All four of Lewiston’s runs scored on walks or errors.

Gray-NG 13, York 3

YORK – Danielle Humphrey and Gianna Oddi each had three RBIs as Gray-New Gloucestor recorded a 13-3 victory over York.

Ali Olmstead added a double and an RBI for the Patriots (4-3), while pitchers Laura Getchell and Olivia Ryan combined for nine strikeouts and two walks.

Lisbon 5, Georges Valley 4

LISBON – Emily Moore scored on a wild pitch to cap a two-run rally with two outs in the seventh inning to lift Lisbon to a 5-4 victory over Georges Valley.

After the first two Lisbon batters were retired, Siohban Riordan singled and went to third on Moore’s single. Christy McAuliffe tied the game with an RBI single, before Moore raced home on the wild pitch for Lisbon (3-1).

Hall-Dale 9, Dirigo 1

DIXFIELD – Jocelyn Tripp too a no-hitter into the seventh inning to lead Hall-Dale to a 9-1 victory over Dirigo.

The Cougars (1-1) scored their only run in the final inning on three hits, including Katie Hutchinson’s double. Tripp struck out 12 and hit a home run.

Camden Hills 7, Oak Hill 6

CAMDEN – Camden Hills rallied for two runs in the seventh inning for its first victory of the year with a 7-6 triumph over Oak Hill.

Oak Hill (3-2) saw a 6-1 third-inning lead slip away. Deidra Dubuc had three hits for the Raiders, while Cadie Rodrigue and Nikki Doustou had two hits apiece.

Kayla Gushee had two hits for Camden Hills (1-4).

Girls’ lacrosse
Edward Little 10, Mountain Valley 5

AUBURN – Kirsten Prue netted four goals to propel Edward Little to a 10-5 victory over Mountain Valley in KVAC girl’s lacrosse action Tuesday.

Brittney French and Bre Wing chipped in for the Eddies (1-2) with three goals each to complete the scoring.

The Falcons were paced by Steph Dragoon with two goals.

Baseball
Oxford Hills 9, Lewiston 4

OXFORD HILLS – Ben Goodall scored the eventual game-winning run in the fourth inning to lead Oxford Hills to a 9-4 win over Lewiston.

Dillon Trundy recorded the win, while Mark Henderson was credited with the save for the Vikings (4-0).

In the fifth inning, Alex Wong smacked a two-run double for the Blue Devils (1-2).

Camden Hills 2, Oak Hill 1

CAMDEN – Gabe Blodgett allowed four hits in seven innings to lead Camden Hills to a 2-1 victory over Oak Hill in KVAC baseball action Tuesday.

The Windjammers scored both runs in the first and held on to clinch. Josh Jillson paced the Raiders (1-4) with an RBI double, while Chris Ellis was tagged with the loss.

Lisbon 3, Georges Valley 2

LISBON – Devan Knight scored the winning run on a passed ball in the eighth inning to lift Lisbon to a 3-2 victory.

Lisbon’s Kyle Neagle was solid on the mound, striking out 16 batters en route to the win, while the Buccaneers’ Phil Bertoccy fanned 10 batters.

Winthrop 21, Carrabec 1

WINTHROP – Winthrop erupted for 18 hits and only one error for a dominating 21-1 rout over Carrabec in a five-inning game Tuesday.

Dave Ricker and Kyle Plossay each hit a double and a triple, and combined for five RBIs for the Ramblers (4-0).

Tyler Cobb went 3-for-3, including a triple, and had three RBIs.

Mt. Abram 8, Madison 7

MADISON – Sterling Hook scored when Nicki Moore’s line drive to the shortstop in the top of the seventh was dropped, allowing Mt. Abram to edge Madison 8-7 in a MVC baseball matchup.

Noah Smith and Sean Boivin led the Roadrunners (2-2) with two hits apiece, while Chris Smith belted an RBI double.

Charlie Dexter came in and sent Madison down swinging in the seventh to post the win.

The Bulldogs (0-4) were paced by Ryan Carpenter with two hits and two RBIs.

Ezra Gourley allowed seven hits and was saddled with the loss.

Gardiner 10, Leavitt 0

GARDINER – Kyle Stilphen slammed a three-run homer in the first inning, while Sean McNally blasted a two-run homer in the second to lead Gardiner to a 10-0 triumph over Leavitt.

Mike Levalle, Mike Abbott and McNally shared pitching duties to combine for a no-hitter with nine strikeouts.

Boys’ lacrosse
Oak Hill 20, Wiscasset 1

WISCASSET – Nate Lavoie scored a game-high six goals, while teammates Joe Gilbert and Kevin LaPlante each added five to lead Oak Hill to a 20-1 triumph over Wiscasset.

Anthony Siderio, Tyler Wells, Matt Davis, and Zack Provost each had a goal for the Raiders. Keeper Caleb Fournier made four saves.
