SCARBOROUGH – Scarborough Fish & Game Association will be open for sporting clays on the first and third Sunday of every month.

Clay target shooting sports have been gaining popularity in recent years. The original game was called “trap”, making reference to the machine that launches the clay birds.

Other variations were then developed, the most popular being “skeet”, “5-stand” and “sporting clays”.

Sporting clays is a game that tries to present targets that would be similar to what you might find in the field.

The public is invited to attend the informal practice sessions year round in 5-stand and sporting clays, and wobble trap on Sundays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Scarborough Fish & Game Association is located at 70 Holmes Rd., Scarborough, across from Beech Ridge Speedway. The group has a web site at http://scarfg.org.
