AUBURN – The White Sox defeated a new team, The Outlaws, 19-7 Sunday in an opening game in the Central Maine Men’s Senior Baseball League (over-30) at Pettengill Park.
A 9-run second inning proved to be the difference. Steve Labossiere, Dan Coleman and Mark Plourde each banged 2 hits for the Sox. Labossiere got the win in relief of starter Shawn Cheetham. Dave Coburn, Greg Massey and Rodney Bates were repeat hitters for The Outlaws.
The White Sox will hit the road next weekend to play the Fairfield Rockies.
