LEEDS – Dr. Larry Catlett of Occupational Medical Consulting in Leeds recently joined Dr. David Hunnicutt of the Wellness Councils of America in speaking to Florida businesses in Jacksonville, Tampa and Boca Raton about workplace wellness.

Sponsored by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Florida and WELCOA, the event provided companies with the information they need to model wellness programs in their companies. Dr Catlett shared the substantial changes in at-risk health behaviors, decreased rate of rise of health care costs and the substantial return on investment that Cianbro Corp. of Pittsfield has experienced as the result of adding wellness to safety and utilizing OMC’s individualized behavior change approach in assisting employees and spouses to adopt a healthier lifestyle.
