AUGUSTA – The Augusta Red Sox blanked the Rumford Cardinals 7-0 Sunday in the Cenral Maine Men’s Senior Baseball League.

Torey Carr hurled the first 7 innings and Jim Morris the last 2, allowing just 2 hits each. The Red Sox pounded out 13 hits, led by Matt Richardson’s 2-4 game, including a double and 3 RBI. Carr tripled and Bob Cochran doubled in the win. Other repeat hitters for the Sox were David Ricker and Josh Nichols.
