PORTLAND – The Sea Dogs scored eight times in the seventh inning to break a tie and defeat the Reading Phillies 9-4.

Jeff Corsaletti paced the Sea Dogs with four hits, including a pair of hits and RBIs in the seventh inning, when Portland sent 13 batters to the plate.

After both teams exchanged runs in the first, Portland took the lead for good with a Cosaletti’s first hit of the inning. Portland out hit the Phillies 15-11 winning the second game in a row. Andrew Dobbies earned the victory in relief of starter Tommy Hottovy.

Reading scored four times in the eighth but it wasn’t enough. The Phillies were led by Peter Ramos who had a double and three singles.
