RUMFORD – The 60th wedding anniversary of Allen and Freda Lariviere was held recently in Bartow, Fla.

Mr. Lariviere and the former Freda St. Peter were married on Feb. 1, 1947, at Lincoln. They later moved to Rumford, where they owned and operated Al’s Sunoco and Marina. They also owned and operated Trails End Motel until retirement in 1987.

They have four children, Karen and husband, Wayne Boucher, of White Pine, Mich., Philip and wife, Gloria, of Kensington, N.H., Sueanne and husband, David, of Lewiston, and they also have a son, David, who is deceased. They also have five grandchildren and one great-grandson.

To celebrate their anniversary, they went on a cruise to the Grand Cayman, Cozumel, Belize and Costa Maya. Upon their return to their winter home in Bartow, Fla., a family celebration was hosted by Philip and his wife, Gloria, and their son, Todd, at their vacation condo in Kissimmee, Fla.

Attending were daughter Sueanne and her husband, and Mr. Lariviere’s sister, Altheare, and husband, Fred of South Paris.
