RUMFORD – The following cases were closed recently in 11th District Court:

Robert Bassett Jr., 25, Peru, exceeding the bag limit on deer and possession of antlerless deer on Nov. 18, first charge dismissed; found guilty on second charge, fined $500.

Clinton Gilbert Bradbury, 53, Peru, hunting from a stand or blind overlooking deer bait and hunting deer after having killed one on Nov. 16, both charges dismissed.

Matthew J. Chrissikos, 54, Dixfield, criminal speed on Nov. 27, dismissed.

Jeremy C. Coffin, 19, Andover, criminal mischief on Nov. 21, dismissed.

Nathan J. Dayon, 25, Rumford, criminal trespass, criminal mischief and disorderly conduct on Oct. 15, 2005, found guilty on first charge, fined $200; second and third charges dismissed.

Jeremy L. Gallant, 31, Rumford, operating while license suspended or revoked and permitting unlawful use on Dec. 7, found guilty on first charge, fined $600, sentenced to seven days, license suspended one year and registration suspended; second charge dismissed.

Charles A. Gaura Jr., 23, Andover, driving to endanger and reckless conduct on Oct. 8, first charge dismissed; found guilty on second charge, fined $750.

Guilford Rail System, Waterville, failing to equip, maintain, and/or make rule to prevent fire on April 30, 2006, offense committed, fined $100 and restitution of $7,145.39.

Dale Kotthaus, 46, Fort Pierce, Fla., negotiating a worthless instrument on Oct. 1, 1989, found guilty, sentenced to 10 days and probation revoked.

Richard R. Larsen Jr., 19, Oxford, theft by unauthorized taking or transfer on Nov. 24, found guilty, fined $250.

Robert M. Lovell Jr., 48, Mexico, assault on Jan. 12, dismissed.

Susan T. Thornton, 42, Rumford, refusing to submit to arrest or detention and two counts of assault on June 17, 2006, first and second charges dismissed; found guilty on third charge, sentenced to five days; also charged with assault and violating condition or release on June 29, 2006, first charge dismissed; found guilty on second charge, sentenced to five days.

Jewels Varnum, 43, Mexico, operating under the influence on Sept. 18, found guilty, fined $500 and license suspended 90 days.

Julia A. Weymouth, 52, Peru, operating while license suspended or revoked and unlawful use a license on March 22, found guilty on both charges, fined $250 on first charge; fined $75 on second charge.
