LEWISTON – A surprise party was held on May 12 for Robert and Jeannette Sutton of Lewiston, on the occasion of their 50th wedding anniversary.

The party was planned by their children and grandchildren and was held at the Jacques Cartier Club, with over 100 guests attending.

Guests signed a matted frame with the original wedding picture, 25th anniversary picture and a spot was left for the 50th anniversary picture. An anniversary cake with original wedding picture was served and decorations in the hall were in gold colors. Toastmaster was Bert Sutton, who was the original best man.

Mr. Sutton and the former Jeannette Cote were married on June 1, 1957, at Saints Peter and Paul Church in Lewiston.

Their children are Kim, Sam and husband, Pete, Lisa, Eric and friend of the family, Cindy. Their grandchildren are Jessica, Tim, Chris, Ashley, Sarah, Shaun, Dustin, Sierra and Brianna. Great-grandchildren are Christopher and Courtney.
