Recently, I attended a book signing by local author Suzanne Johnson, and read the book “‘Til Death Do Us Part.” The story was riveting and full of compassion. It was inspiring to read about the pain endured and courage and love shown by the couple throughout the tragic course of Alzheimer’s disease.
The photographs illustrated how the disease took control of the poor woman’s life, and showed how important families can be during difficult times. It takes true love to withstand the pressure of such hardship.
It helped me understand what my grandparents are going through, and gives me hope in this modern day of disposable relationships.
