OAKLAND – Greg Massey, looking years younger than his reported age of 44, scattered six hits in a complete-game shutout as the Outlaws defeated the Green Wave, 4-0, at Messalonskee High School in Men’s Senior Baseball League action.

Massey was in command from the opening pitch and chucked his way out of a bases-loaded, no-out jam in the sixth inning. He struck out 15, walked only one and hit one batter.

Chris Reed singled in Rich Ozment in the second inning to provide the eventual winning run. Val Beaudet was the offensive catalyst for the Outlaws with three hits.

Beaudet effectively iced the game by ripping a two-run homer in the top of the seventh to make it 4-0 after Massey escaped the sixth inning jam unscathed. The Green Wave were kept afloat by tough luck loser Main.

e struck out eight over seven innings and had three of the six hits.
