AUBURN – The Litchfield Red Sox rolled past the Lewiston Outlaws 15-2 Sunday in a Central Maine Senior Men’s Baseball League contest waged at Pettengill Park. Jim Morris scattered 4 hits over 8 innings to gain the win. Morris, Bob Cochran and Mike House all collected 3 hits. Matt Richardson and Josh Nichols added 2 apiece. The outlaws commited 9 errors and issued 6 walks. Rod Bates had a hit and is now batting .583 for the season.

In another league contest, the Central Maine Green Wave cracked 19 hits in rolling past Gillie’s Guys of Nokomis 17-2 at Messalonskee High School. Sharing the pitching duties were Kris Targett, John Durrell, Richard Doble and Andy Oliver. Targett, Matt Austin, Kurt Rauch and Dan Dostie all belted 3 hits. Oliver was the top stick with 4 safeties.

Dave Duncombe was a repeat hitter for Gillie’s Guys.
