AUBURN – Announcement is made with much joy of the engagement of Benjamin C. Clark to Jessica M. Basaldua.

Mr. Clark is the son of Bruce and Lisa Clark of Auburn. He is currently stationed at Fort Carson in Colorado, serving in the Army and awaiting his second deployment to Iraq. He will end his three-year term in the Army in May of 2009.

Miss Basaldua is the daughter of Sherri Hotham of Portland and the stepdaughter of Doug Hotham of Auburn. She is attending the University of Southern Maine in Lewiston, studying social behavioral sciences. She plans to graduate in May of 2008.

A small private wedding ceremony will be held on July 20 at the Clark residence, while he is home on his two-week leave. A bigger traditional ceremony will be held in September of 2009.
