BEGINNING OF THE END
Miguel Tejada suffered a fractured wrist after being hit by a pitch this week, ending the fifth-longest streak of consecutive games played in baseball history. Take it from someone who’s seen what happens when a franchise middle infielder gets hit on the wrist, Orioles fans: It’s over. Miguel will now marry a soccer player more famous than he is while becoming an injury magnet and shadow of himself. Sad, but true.
MAKES PERFECT SENSE. NO, REALLY
The Sox took care of the gaping hole in their rotation left by Curt Schilling’s stint on the disabled list by promoting outfielder David Murphy.
