LEWISTON – Brendon Rac belted his first fence-clearing home run and pitched two solid innings of relief to nudge No. 6 Rowe Lewiston past No. 3 Dube Flower, 13-8, in the Elliot Ave. Little League playoffs.
Evan Bourassa pitched four solid innings for Rowe, striking out eight and allowing only one earned run. Bourassa, Kyle Lemelin, Ryan Laverdiere and Coleman Morency all contributed multiple hits to the victory. Josh Bussiere and Evan Gosselin were repeat hitters for Dube, which received two strong innings of mound work from Brian Wigant.
Rowe advances to Tuesday’s semifinal round against Mike Morin Auto. Game time is 5:30 p.m.
