AUGUSTA (AP) – An autopsy has confirmed that a 58-year-old homicide victim whose body was found last week in a Westbrook cemetery was shot to death, authorities said Monday.

The state Medical Examiner’s Office released the cause of death after completion of the autopsy Sunday on the body of Kevin Foley of Portland. No further details of the autopsy were being made public.

Investigators have asked anyone who saw him or his car – a brown 2000 Mercury Sable – Thursday night or early Friday morning to call state police.

Foley was reported missing after he told his wife Thursday night that he was headed to a local supermarket and never returned. A Westbrook Public Works employee found his body the next morning alongside his car at Woodlawn Cemetery.
