LEWISTON – On June 9, Ally LaVerdiere of Turner presented the Greater Androscoggin Humane Society with the donations from her 10th birthday party.

In lieu of gifts, LaVerdiere, a student at the Fairview School, asked her party guests to bring pet food, treats and toys to donate to the shelter.

The items donated by the guests will help with the care of the thousands of unwanted animals the Humane Society helps each year.
