Bottle drive, sale

CANTON – A bottle drive, car wash and bake sale will take place at the new fire station from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, July 7. Call 597-2404 for pick up. Proceeds will go to a rescue sled.

Women’s meeting

WILTON- The Western Mountain Women’s Connection meeting will feature “The Great Maine Outdoors” by Mike Keim of Weld from 11:15 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. Tuesday, July 10, at Kineowatha Park. Cost of $10 is all inclusive. Guest speaker will be Alice Kellogg of Burlington, Vt., discussing “Obstacle Course.”

Class lunch

RUMFORD – The Stephens High School Class of 1945 will hold a lunch at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 11, at Tina’s. Call Connie at 364-8785 or Muriel at 545-2709 to make reservations.

Seats available

DIXFIELD – The Neighborly Senior Citizens still have a few seats remaining for the Friday, July 20, trip to Cabbage Island.

Price includes the bus trip, boat ride and lunch. There are seats remaining for the Bill Gaither Concert on Friday, Oct. 19.

Bridge results

RUMFORD – The Rumford Duplicate Bridge Club winners at the June 28 game were: first, Clara Roy and Paula Humbert; second, Marilyn and Erick Sahlberg; tied for third, Judy Roy and Ann McClusky with Anna Cormier and Deb Stewart. All bridge players are invited to the 7 p.m. Thursday games at the Community Center.
