Elliot Ave. Little League 11-year-old all-stars defeated Augusta, 6-1, to advance in district tournament play.
Evan Bourassa spun five solid innings for Elliot, allowing only three hits and striking out nine. Tom Hird pitched a tidy inning of relief.
Colton Bernier, Alex Small, Jeremy Kearns and Hird were top hitters for Elliot. Matt Haggerty had two of Augusta’s hits.
Elliot advances to face the winner of Auburn Suburban-Gardiner on Saturday at a site to be determined.
