STRATTON – The 27th annual meeting of the Alumni Association of the Dead River Area will be held on Saturday Aug. 4, at the Stratton/Eustis Community Building, Main Street.
Graduates of Stratton High School, Flagstaff High School and Mt. Abram Regional High School are invited to attend.
Registration will begin around 10 a.m., at which time the annual dues of $5 a family can be paid. The business meeting will start at 11 a.m. followed by the awards given to those having the following graduation anniversaries: 65th (1942), 60th (1947), 50th (1957), 45th (1962), 40th (1967) and 25th (1982). Awards for past and present teachers will also be presented.
The Lions Club will have barbecued chicken, hot dogs and hamburgers for sale; and the alumni desert table will offer homemade cookies and cakes.
Proceeds from the table will go to the scholarship fund.
The Flagstaff Chapel Association is sponsoring a presentation of, “The Flooding of Flagstaff” at 7 p.m. at the Community Building. There will be a potluck finger food and dessert buffet.
