AUBURN – The Corporate and Community Services Department at Central Maine Community College will offer a series of courses for propane and natural gas technicians beginning Tuesday, Aug. 14. All courses will meet from 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays and 8 a.m. to noon Saturdays.

“Basic Principles and Practices” (CTP 001-21) will run from Aug. 14 to 23. It is a prerequisite to the other courses in the series and costs $380.

The other courses are “Appliance Installation” (CTP 002-21) Aug. 25 to Sept. 8 and “Appliance Service” (CTP 005-21) Sept. 11 to 22. The two courses are $418 each. “Distribution Systems” (CTP 004-21) will be held Sept. 25 to Oct. 13 and cost $685.

All prices include the state licensing exam, which will be administered during the last class, and the cost of books. Anthony Leclair, who is licensed by the Maine Propane and Natural Gas Board, will teach all four courses.
