Tourneys planned

Two area golf tourneys are slated later this summer.

The 13th annual Maine Higher Education Assistance Foundation Scholarship Golf Tournament will be held Monday, August 6 at the Augusta Country Club. Cost is $125 per player. Tourney format is a 4-person scramble with a noon shotgun start. The event is being hosted by the Maine Bankers Assocation. The Southern Maine Community College Athletics Department will host its fourth annual Golf Tournament fundraiser and dinner/silent auction on Tuesday August 14 at Toddy Brook Golf Course in North Yamouth. It’ll be an 18-hole, 4-person scramble. Cost is $80 per person. The tourney starts at 1 p.m. Additional information is available by calling 741-5511.
