Don’t weaken Tina’s Law. I decided several months ago to obey every speed limit and traffic law. I would challenge anyone to try it just for a day or two.

It has been very frightening. I have been passed in every unsafe way possible. I have been screamed at, sworn at, and I have been given the finger many times. There are a lot of rude and dangerous drivers in Maine.

Anyone who receives 10 violations in five years should not be driving. Of course it’s inconvenient not to drive. But driving is a privilege, not a right. If a person abuses it, it should be taken away – that is the point of the law.

Ignorance of the law doesn’t count.
