Grange picnic

LIVERMORE – New Norlands Grange 580 will hold a picnic at 4 p.m. Saturday, July 21, at the home of Noella Mercier, Keith Street, Brettun’s Pond.

A potluck supper will be held at 5 p.m. and game time will start at 6.

Each person attending is asked to bring 5 nickels and 25 pennies. All grangers are welcome.

Supper postponed

RANGELEY – The baked bean and ham public supper scheduled for Aug. 4 at the Rangeley Congregational Church Barn has been postponed to Oct. 20. The proceeds from the supper will benefit the Deacon’s Fuel Assistance Program for the winter. The bean supper, with all the fixings, will be served from 5 p.m. until sold out. New raffle

JAY – The new raffle to benefit the purchase of a town clock is a golf package at a Turner course.

It is for 18 holes of golf for two with a cart at Highlands, plus a $40 gift certificate for dinner at Fore Seasons Restaurant. Raffle tickets are one for $3 or two for $5. The raffle will run through Friday, Aug. 31.

FARMINGTON – Pastor Susan Crane’s message will be “Choosing the Better Part” at 9:30 a.m. Sunday, July 22, at Henderson Memorial Baptist Church. All are welcome.

Lobster roll lunch

FARMINGTON – The St. Luke’s Episcopal Church annual lobster roll lunches will be available from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, July 28, in the Meetinghouse Park. A lobster roll, chips, homemade brownie and soft drink are included in the bag lunch for $9.

On Friday, July 27, the St. Luke’s crew will deliver lobster roll bag lunches throughout the Farmington area to businesses and homes. Call on Wednesday, Thursday or Friday morning at 645-2639 and leave a message.

Bible school

FARMINGTON – Henderson Memorial Baptist Church invites children in the area to a Vacation Bible School adventure from 9:30 a.m. to noon Monday through Friday, July 23 to 27. Children ages 3 to 12 are welcome to join this hot air balloon experience, called “LIFT OFF! Soaring to New Heights with God.”

Registration will begin at 9 a.m. Monday; participation is free. A closing program will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday, July 27, to celebrate the children’s experience. For more information, call 778-2163.
