LEWISTON-With his team trailing 2-0 in the top of the third, Bump Heldman dug in with the bases loaded and crushed a grand slam leading New Auburn to a 9-6 victory over Gayton.
Jake Marcum put the game away with a two-run double in the sixth inning, joining Heldman, Kyle Buissere and Derek Doucette with two hits apiece for New Auburn (14-4). Jake Marcum pitched three solid innings of relief for the win.
McKae Hyde and Willie Emerson led Gayton (7-11) with two hits each.
