AUBURN – New Auburn (15-4) unleashed an 18-hit attack and scored 12 runs in the first three innings to beat struggling Andy Valley, 16-1, in an American Legion baseball game Saturday.

Adam Redmun got the win on the mound, but got some help from New Auburn pitchers Brady Blackman and Derek Doucette.

Tyler Dorris went 4-for-4 at the plate and Kevin Smith had two hits and scored five runs. Blackman had a pair of hits and five RBIs. For Andy Valley (4-15), Zane Armandi smacked a homer.

Gayton 5, Brunswick 2

LEWISTON – Travis Dyke had three hits and pitcher Eddie West gutted out 6 2/3 innings of two-run ball to lead Gayton to a 5-2 Zone III victory over Brunswick.

West allowed five hits and walked seven batters, but kept Brunswick away from the big inning with help of his defense.

Gayton (8-11) took control with three runs in the third inning, highlighted by RBI singles from West and Mekae Hyde. Dyke, Willie Emerson and Alex Long all had doubles for Gayton. Josh Clark (1-18) led Brunswick with a triple.

Bessey Motors 8, Gilman Electric 7

SOUTH PARIS – Ethan Sutton singled home the winning run in the bottom of the ninth inning to lift Bessey Motors to an 8-7 win over Gilman Electric Saturday.

Gilman (12-6) had tied the game in the top of the eighth inning with a four-run rally capped by Kyle Mullins’ RBI single. Bessey Motors (12-6) loaded the bases in the bottom of the ninth before Sutton drove Mullins’ 1-2 offering into deep left field to plate the game winner. Ryan Yates paced Bessey Motors with a pair of RBIs and picked up the win in relief.
