Auburn – Raymond W. Whiting Sr., 77, of Third Street, Auburn, died Sunday, July 22, at The Hospice House of Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice.

He was born in Auburn, Nov. 10, 1929, a son of the late William and Magnalena Whiting.

He was a truck driver for many years working for Hill Crest Foods and retiring from Gagnon and Son Concrete.

He enjoyed gardening, cooking, and collecting and cleaning scrap metal.

He leaves five daughters, Helen Horne and her husband, Warren, of Florida, Gloria Capo and her husband, Sidney, of Florida, Debora Belenger and her husband, Marc, of Sabattus, Lena Paradis and her husband, Lucien, of East Poland, and Gail Combs of Lewiston; five sons, Harold Whiting of Sabattus, Gary Whiting and his wife, Daryl, of New Gloucester, Raymond Whiting Jr. and his wife, Terry, of New Gloucester, Mark Whiting and his wife, Brenda, of Livermore, and Michael Whiting and his wife, Cheryl, of Sabattus; 15 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Wilfred and Elmer Whiting, both of Auburn.
