MEXICO – The Eagles Annnual Charity Golf Tournament is scheduled for Sunday, August 5 at Oakdale Country Club.

All proceeds are earmarked for the Hope Association that was recently involved in budget cuts. Businesses can help by sponsoring a hole for $100, or co-sponsor one for $50, or by giving a donation of a gift certificate or gifts for the raffles.

Bilodeau, Gaudreau win

NEWRY – Brian Bilodeau (B) and Vic Gaudreau (C) captured top honors Tuesday in the MSGA B and C Players Championship held at Sunday River Golf Club.

Bilodeau fired a second day 75 for a 151 overall score, 12 better than the second place finisher.

Gaudreau overcame Ed Juhl’s amazing first round of 81, shooting steady scores of 84-85 to win the C Division crown.

PARIS – The Rally for a Cure tourney raised $400 at Paris Hill CC. All donations are used to support the Susan G. Komen Foundation for Breast Cancer. Phyllis Farrington was the grand prize winner, receiving a new putter. Winning team consisted of Marje Howe, Suzanne Kendrick, Donna Lapp and Jamie Hodgsdon with a score of 67.

The 25th Pee Wee Championship is scheduled for August 5. All junior golfers 14 and under by August 5 are eliigble. Each participant will receive a medallion, golf balls, tees, snacks and a barbeque lunch. Those 10-under will play 9 holes and the 11-12-year-olds will play 18 holes.
